Northern Kentucky University’s Chase College of Law is committed to pro bono service as a fundamental aspect of preparing future lawyers to join a public profession. Lawyers have an ethical obligation to work pro bono publico—for the public good—by rendering some legal services without fee. The Pro Bono Service Program at Chase provides students with a vehicle to gain legal skills, exposes them to substantive areas of the law and enhances their contact with the legal community.
While you may not receive monetary compensation or academic credit for work done to satisfy the pro bono requirement, you’ll build your resume—and expand your professional network with potential legal employers—well before you graduate.

We invite you to do well while doing good at Chase.
Our law school does not provide legal services to the public. Because of rules governing law students and the circumstances in which they can provide legal assistance, Chase cannot provide pro bono legal assistance directly to individuals. If you need no-fee or low-fee assistance, please contact a legal aid society that serves the community where you live or a specialize agency, such as one that offers assistance to children or seniors.
